Yet Another Bantu MapMaker allows you to color a map of Bantu languages by pointing them with their language code (see classification of Bantu languages). An inventory of 390 Bantu languages are currently supported. The inventory will be expanded over time. Sign up and log in to use it: https://www.bantu-languages.com/mapmaker
With this tool, you can directly copy and paste a list of language codes (one per line) from your document (a Word or Excel table for instance) to the appropriate field(s) in the form. The codes are automatically translated in zone J when needed.
To select an entire zone, simply enter its letter. To include all variants of a language (e.g., B11a, b, c), use the asterisk (e.g., B11*). If a language is associated with more than one attribute, the mapmaker will automatically combine up to a maximum of three different colors. You can also generate a title and/or legend for the map by simply providing the necessary information. You can then preview the resulting map and download it as a PNG image.
